New Name for Florida Ownership and Encumbrance Reports

Property Information Report, formally known as Ownership and Encumbrance Report

2017 Florida Legislation has recently revamped Florida Statute Section 627.7843, renaming the “Ownership and Encumbrance Report” to the “Property Information Report”.  The report will continue to show the same information regarding the record of ownership for specific real property and any encumbrances that are a matter of public record.  The encumbrances listed on the report will also stay the same to include any and all of the following matters of public record: easements, restrictions and other materials affecting liens, judgments, and mortgages. 

Remember! This report does not issue or guarantee any sort of insurance on the status of title, and can be issued by any person, including licensed Florida title agencies, insurers, or agents.
